Isobutylene Isoprene Rubber (IIR)

Isobutylene–Isoprene Rubber (IIR) features exceptionally low gas permeability and outstanding chemical resistance, making it a core material solution for vacuum sealing and high-performance airtight applications.

Material Properties and Technical Limitations

High Airtightness

Its molecular structure results in extremely low gas permeability, making it suitable for industrial environments with stringent vacuum requirements and for tire inner liners.

Excellent Resistance and Limitations

It features excellent aging and ozone resistance. However, its oil resistance is generally low, so it is not recommended for environments involving contact with mineral oils or petroleum-based liquids.

Industrial Vibration Isolation and Insulation

Its excellent damping properties make it an ideal material for vibration isolation pads, while also offering good electrical insulation performance.
