EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer) Rubber – Foamed – Open-Cell
With its saturated main-chain structure, EPDM offers outstanding chemical stability. It is the material of choice for extreme outdoor environments, providing long-term resistance to heat, UV radiation, and ozone—making it an essential protective core for the construction and automotive industries.
Comprehensive Outdoor Protection Specialist
Thanks to its saturated main chain, EPDM exhibits exceptional aging resistance against ozone in the air and ultraviolet sunlight, making it highly resistant to cracking and material degradation.
In addition to basic waterproofing, it performs exceptionally well under high-pressure steam, strong acids, and strong alkalis, making it ideal for hot water systems and chemical pipeline sealing.
[ Physical Application Limitations Notice ]
Although EPDM has excellent weather resistance, it shows limited performance against petroleum-based oils, fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. For environments involving oil, gas, or strong organic solvents, it is recommended to consult Taiwan Aoki’s technical team to select alternative synthetic rubbers.
